The glass-encased lounge on Moxy Chelsea’s 35th floor has show-stopping, 360° views of the Manhattan skyline, from the Statue of Liberty to the Empire State Building. The design by Rockwell Group adds a glamorous touch to the botanical theme with a copper-clad bar, water droplet chandeliers, rich floral fabrics, and a massive vintage disco ball. A life-size, toga-clad Roman statue rests on a column, one arm extended so it can hold a guest’s phone and pose with them for a selfie. At the touch of a button, the glass walls of the lounge retract to create an alfresco sky veranda. The space includes a full bar, kitchen, DJ booth, and dedicated high-speed elevator access.
Moxy Chelsea’s over-the-top hospitality suite on the 32nd floor is made for entertaining, with a wet bar, full kitchen/pantry, handcrafted custom furniture by Yabu Pushelberg, double-height 18-foot soaring ceilings, and an industrial-loft-style window wall overlooking the Empire State Building. Hanging from the ceiling of the MONDO Suite is a glass-and-mirror sculpture by the Japanese artist Sawada that depicts giant bunnies dangling from flower bouquets. The suite can be booked alone or with one or both of the two adjoining king bedrooms.
Our two meeting studios in the second-floor lobby were designed by Rockwell Group to seamlessly transform from workplace to social space, with furniture that easily shifts from working to lounging, tables that raise and lower, and glass walls that fold away and disappear completely. Plentiful plugs and furiously fast Wi-Fi ensure connectivity; state-of-the-art AV equipment is available upon request.
A lively yet intimate indoor/outdoor destination fusing Italian traditions with contemporary refinements, overseen by TAO Group and Francesco Panella of Antica Pesa, the legendary restaurant in Rome and Brooklyn. Rockwell Group’s stirring design takes inspiration from the nearby Flower District, infused with a strong dose of Italian romance. Configurations for private parties include an outdoor garden terrace and a 14-seat private dining room.
The second-floor lobby snack bar and lounge serves fragrant cocktails and classic Roman bites with a modern twist. Flexible seating areas complete with charging stations function as co-working spaces during the day before transforming into a playful lounge in the evening. Adjoining is The Conservatory, a lushly planted, sun-drenched atrium with a DJ booth that descends from the ceiling—perfect for kicking back, day or night. And The Backyard, our all-season garden terrace, is designed for casual entertaining, with a made-for-Moxy bocce game and Neapolitan-style pizza oven.
